Contains three voyages: on the Brig SOLON of Mattapoisett, MA, May 10, 1844 - Sept. 3, 1844, master Albert Daggett (Sherman 729, Starbuck 414); on the Brig EDWARD of Mattapoisett, MA, Oct. 23, 1844 - Oct. 30, 1845, master Thomas I. Southworth (Sherman 238, Starbuck 414); and on the Bark DUNBARTON of Mattapoisett, MA, June 4, 1846 - June 3, 1848, master Benjamin B. Handy (Sherman 229, Starbuck 436). Contains a small number of sketches of whales.
