Scope and Contents
Includes documents, trial notes and clippings related to a "Tax Day Die-In" protest at Electric Boat in North Kingstown, RI on April 15, 1983 in which eleven protestors, including Topakian, were arrested with charges of disorderly conduct. Six of the protestors, including Topakian, represented themselves at trial and were found guilty. Topakian was given a choice to pay a $125 fine or complete 20 hours of community service. She chose community service and the Court permitted her to transfer probation to the San Francisco Adult Probation Department since plans for her to start graduate school were already under way.
