Magicians, 1907-1989 & undated

This subseries contains information about specific magicians, including Rhode Island acts such as C. Foster Fenner, national acts such as Dell O’Dell, and international acts such as Sorcar. Promotional materials are organized by magician’s last name or, if none is available, first name. Among the promotional materials are news releases, business cards, flyers, pamphlets, and other documents promoting specific magicians and their magic acts. Souvenir programs with extensive information about magicians are included here with promotional materials; other programs for magic shows can be found in Subseries 2.

This subseries also contains news clippings about magic and specific magicians (organized chronologically), magicians’ autographs collected at meetings, conferences, and performances, and photographs of individual magicians, most of which are formal or promotional portraits. News clippings about and photographs of John H. Percival are not included here; those can be found in Series 4.
