The initial 131 pages of this journal document a whaling voyage on the ship GRATITUDE from April 28, 1841 - Nov. 2, 1843, master Peleg H. Stetson (Sherman 342, Starbuck 374). Contains whale stamps. The remaining pages include personal notes and accounts, journal entries, records of births, deaths, and marriages.
