General
In spite of its title, the Updike Pamphlet Collection is made up of printed books ranging in size from short tracts, often bound together as sammelbander, to large folio volumes. It is the accumulation of books collected by multiple generations of the Updike family. The subjects range widely, but there is an emphasis on political and legal history, particularly as it relates to Rhode Island. A portion of the collection is recorded in the library's online catalog.
