Theatre and minstrel shows, 1914 - 1915

Series 5 contains photographs documenting the activities of the Greater Providence YMCA from about 1910-2001. This series has been arranged into subseries by subject, which includes events, holidays and social clubs, education, arts and culture, fitness and athletics, facilities, summer camps, and a miscellaneous subseries containing portraits, landscapes and additional recreation. The photos in each subseries have been arranged by date, both known and approximated. Dates have been estimated to within a decade or two of their probable creation based on print styles, photographer’s names on the back of the photos, clothing or specific identifying activities present in the photos, and other clues. Any photos that had no evidence for dating them have been left undated.
