The collection consists of materials related to American history with a focus on Rhode Island history. The collection includes legal documents, correspondence, poems, portraits, ship’s papers, business records, and ephemera dating from 1655 to 1922.

Scope and Contents The Collection includes records and collected artwork of AS220 from 1983-2017. Annual accruals are expected. The materials in the collection represent the work of a wide variety of artists and performers as well as the organization. Researchers will find evidence of a complex, creative community with a national reach and strong impact on the streetscape of an urban downtown area. The collection consists of one photograph album, circa 1900, of the Joseph Banigan Mansion built in 1897 by Martin and Hall at 510 Angell Street in Providence, Rhode Island. Includes two exterior and 13 interior photographs of home, one of the exterior of the carriage house, and one of a dog outside its dog house.

Scope and Contents

This scrapbook predominantly contains concert leaflets, flyers, programs, and newspaper reviews, collected from 1874 to 1897. It focuses on musical events in and around Rhode Island, usually having to do with Robert Bonner. It includes handwritten notes to explain clippings. The scrapbook also contains advertisements for classes Bonner offered, including price lists. Various other entries in the scrapbook include poems clipped from newspapers and obituaries of Bonner and of his peers.

Scope and Contents The collection consists of 55 photographs and four negatives of aerial photography taken in the aftermath of the hurricane and tidal wave that struck Rhode Island on September 21, 1938. Scope and Contents The William J. Bradford Family Photograph Album collection contains a total of 15 items: 14 photographs, and one photograph album.
