Biographical / Historical

Edward J. Ozog (1939- ) was raised in Rhode Island and lived in New York, New Jersey and North Carolina. He received a BA degree from the University of Rhode Island and a MBA degree from New York University. His professional career focused on monetary policy implementation and securities market trading at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. His interest in railroad history began at an early age and he spent a few months working for the Rock Island railroad in Chicago. He began collection railroad photographs and memorabilia in the 1950s. He has published several web sites documenting the history of railroads, especially those in Rhode Island.

The collection is organized into three series corresponding to the collector’s original order: Street railroads, Railroads, Railroad stations. Items within each series are organized according to the collector’s original order.
