Architecture and Typography Scrapbook
Linotype Blueprint Collection
This collection is comprised of approximately 3,000-5,000 blueprints for the components of Linotype machinery manufactured by the Linotype and Machinery Limited company in Manchester, UK. The blueprints range in size from approximately 20" x 25" to 8.5" x 11". They frequently include dated manuscript notations showing the evolution of parts manufactured by the company.
Linotype Letter Drawings
The collection includes thousands of drawings of letterforms as well as a selection of keyboard maps for use with the fonts.
Collection of Portraits of Printers and Book Sellers
The collection includes portraits of over 400 printed images of printers, booksellers and other members of the book trades. The entire collection has been digitized and descriptions of each item are available on www.provlibdigital.org.
Paul Rand design book for The Limited and the TLC Group
The materials are collected in a three-ringed binder and include sketches, correspondence, colored photocopies.
